What's up, friends!
We’re Ruben and Emily—husband and wife, proud Texas natives, and parents to two tiny humans who keep life loud, unpredictable, and endlessly interesting. We live in the in-between moments: the ones that don’t look perfect, but somehow end up meaning the most.
Truth & Crown Studio exists for real people who want their lives documented honestly. Not staged. Not over-polished. Just as it is. We believe the best photos aren’t forced—they’re noticed.
Emily’s love for photography started back in high school, tucked away in a darkroom, waiting for images to slowly appear in developer trays. There was something grounding about it—watching a moment come to life without rushing it or controlling it too much. That same approach still shapes how we photograph today: patient, observant, and rooted in story.
Ruben brings calm, structure, and an eye for detail shaped by his work as a firefighter. When things get chaotic (because they always do), he’s steady, present, and focused—exactly what you want when life is unfolding in real time.
Together, we photograph families, couples, maternity, and seniors with a people-first approach. No stiff posing. No pressure to perform. Just space to move, connect, and be yourselves while we quietly do the work.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to give you images that feel like your life—messy, meaningful, and worth remembering.

Our Approach
We’re not about cookie-cutter solutions, stiff poses, or lifeless photos. Think of us as your storytelling creatives—we notice the moments that matter, guide you when needed, and create images that actually feel like your life. Our goal isn’t just pretty pictures; it’s a cohesive story that shows who you are, the connections you care about, and the memories worth keeping.
Real people are our jam. Families, couples, maternity clients, and seniors who care about capturing life honestly are exactly who we love working with. Our mission is simple: make sure your experience is relaxed, your photos feel authentic, and your memories are preserved without stress, chaos, or awkward posing.
